The Best of Both Worlds
Heavy vehicle air suspension systems are typically configured as either single-circuit or dual-circuit systems — each with advantages and limitations.
Base Air™ bridges the gap between these two approaches by linking bespoke dual Height Control Valves (HCVs) with Crossflow technology, delivering improved stability while maintaining suspension responsiveness.
The result is a more repeatable and predictable suspension feel for the driver, with stability benefits extending across the entire vehicle combination.
Real-Time Suspension Response
Base Air™ actively and mechanically adjusts suspension behaviour in real time to respond to changing vehicle dynamics, including:
- offset loading
- load shifts during operation
- body roll
- axle interaction within combinations
- braking forces
- acceleration effects
- uneven terrain inputs
This produces improved handling confidence, better load sharing between axles, and more consistent vehicle behaviour under varying operating conditions.
