Pace Engineering was engaged by Vickers Quarries to manufacture new and repair existing equipment, at their York Road quarry in Midhurst.
Pace made a new hopper bin and vibrating grizzlie screens at their fabrication workshops in Katere Road. Eccentric flywheels and bearing housings were added later in a design modification upgrade.
The Pace Engineering Machine shop manufactured a new rotating shaft assembly and spacer from which to mount the flywheels prior to assembly. They also refurbished a hydraulic tube and piston in the process.
A pair of fully synchronized twin 450KVA gensets were supplied by Pace Power and Air for primary and emergency power for the plant.
Pace Engineering worked collaboratively with all departments of its business to provide multi-faceted engineering services with guaranteed satisfaction.
